Candlemass - Death Magic Doom (2009)

Epic doom metal at it's best!

"Now the Swedish/Texanfivepiece has returned with an album that deserves the title "classic" right from the start – because "Death Magic Doom" has it all! Uptempo Metal madness ('If I ever die'), grinding Doom ('Hammer of Doom', which the record was initially supposed to be called) and – most of all – those immortal hymns with achingly addictive and beautiful melody lines (just check out 'Dead angel' or 'The bleeding baroness')! Recorded once more at the famous Swedish Polar Studios, "Death Magic Doom" captures CANDLEMASS at their personal best: immortal songwriting, incredible guitar solos and Robert`s brilliant vocals...Colossal, epic, heavy, doomy, you gottalove this one!!!" ~ Nuclear Blast

The latest from Swedish epic doom metal legends Candlemass! Huge apocalyptic riffing with melodic and dramatic vocals. Must have!

Robert Lowe - Vocals

Valkyrie - Valkyrie (2006)

Man Of Two Visions (2008)

Here are the two albums from doom band Valkyrie from Harrisonburg, Virginia. Known as the side project from Baroness' Pete Adams which also includes his brother Jake Adams. The brothers bring their glorious vision of doom to life on these two albums with dueling guitars and great brotherly harmony. Doom with a hefty dose of '70s hard rock is served up on these two great albums. Enjoy!

Jake Adams - Guitar, Vocals
Pete Adams - Guitar, Vocals
Will Barry-Rec - Bass
Warren Hawkins - Drums

Ogre - Plague Of The Planet (2008)

More great stoner doom with a heavy '70s rock vibe from Portland, Maine's mighty Ogre! An approximately 40 minute long track of majestic and epic '70s infused doom featuring two members of doom underground legends Blood Farmers. Go ahead, try it!

Ross Markonish - Guitars
Ed Cunningham - Bass, Vocals
Will Broadbent - Drums

Pale Divine - Cemetery Earth (2007)

Pennsylvania's Pale Divine play traditional doom in the vein of Black Sabbath, Pentagram, The Obsessed and Pagan Altar. This is their third, and latest, offering Cemetery Earth. As always, highly recommended.

Greg Diener - Guitar, Vocals
Darin McCloskey - Drums
Jerry Bright - Bass
John Klein - Lead/Rhythm Guitar

Earthride - Something Wicked (2010)

Earthride from Maryland, US, finally returned with Something Wicked earlier this year. And something wicked describes this album perfectly! Mostly slow and apocalyptic riffing accompanied by Lemmy style vocals. Awesome.

David "Dave" Sherman - Vocals
Kyle Van Steinburg - Guitars
Rob Hampshire - Bass
Eric Little - Drums

Barn Burner - Bangers (2010)

Barn Burners from Montreal, Quebec play a tight blend of stoner metal, NWOBHM, and punk. Bangers is their debut full length released on Metal Blade Records. Singer and guitarist, Kevin Keegan used to play guitar in death metal band A Javelin Reign, but don't expect any sort of "growly" vocals here because the vocals are pretty clean. And the riffs come hard and fast. Absolutely infectious! Enjoy!

Beer Today Bong Tomorrow!

K. Keaglesmith (Kevin Keegan) - Vocals, Guitar
Marc and the Doucettes (Marc Doucette) - Guitar
Rick "Rocket" Richarde (Nick Ball) - Bass
"Salut" Taylor (Taylor Freund) - Drums
