As promised earlier, here is Sheavy's latest album (promo), Disfigurine. Their second album released this year! And apparently there is a "Best Of" being released at the end of the year.
The Canadian stoner rock legends are back in a flash! Sheavy are definitely one of the more solid stoner rock acts for the past fifteen years, and contnuing to be more solid than ever. This album has a much more "metallic" feel to it, than compared to previous efforts. That might have to do with the replacement of guitarist Dan Moore with Chris White. Both of them are great guitarists, mind you. The Black Sabbath influence is still there as well as the groove and old school metal sound, but this album seems to have a sharper edge and darker feel to it.

I love sHEAVY. I already got this album off Angry Chairs, but I am glad to see it being moved around. I haven't listened to it yet (working through the Fu Manchu Discography - 3 albums left) but I am looking forward to it!
Keep up the good work
Thanks, man. Yeah, Sheavy are a favourite of mine! the new album is great. Didn' like Fu Manchu's latest Signs of Infinite Power too much. Will have to give it another listen when I have time. I love every other album by the Fu, though.
I liked the newer Fu to the old. The I came in with 'We Must Obey' so I like that one alot. The newest was ok, nothing great. I do think it's a bit odd most of their albums are only around 30 minutes in length though.
I'm listening to Disfigurine right now actually and it is pretty good. My favorite is still 'The Machine That Won The War' but this one is a good listen.
Check out my blog or Angry Chairs for more fans of stoner and all metals.
Keep it up!
Yeah, I love We Must Obey! But Signs of Infinite Power seems to be missing something, I'm not sure what. Like I said though, I need to give it some more listens.
Republic? is probably my fave sHEAVY album although The Machine That Won The War is great too. You can't really go wrong with any Sheavy album, though.
Thanks man. Yeah, I discovered Angry Chairs recently and pop in every now and then. Really great blog, although it's easy to get lost in it with so much music! lol I checked out your blog and I dig it too! Nice work!
There really is too much. I would love to go through your blog post for post and enjoy, but seriously I have almost 330 gigs of music (roughly 54,000 songs) and I've only worked through about a third of it. If I went through every blog I read and every post I would never become close to getting through all that. I've been keeping my dl's to only bands that I know or side projects/new formations, and anything that seems really cool lol. I will keep checking it for those reasons, but for the foreseeable future I'm trying to stick with what I know.
Wow! Understandable...lol! That's a shit ton of music!
Well I guess I am a liar, seeing as I'm currently working through your entire site. Anything interesting is coming with me. It's an addiction really
LOL! a liar and a kleptomaniac??
Yeah, I know...it's crazy addictive!
